Micah condemns powerful people who scheme to take the fields and homes of ordinary families for themselves.
Micah was a prophet from a small farming town in ancient Judah. He spoke against the wealthy and well-connected, who used their power to seize the land and houses of ordinary people.
In that world land was more than property. It was a family's inheritance, passed down for generations and tied to their survival. The verse names the harm plainly: those with the means arrange things so that a family loses what was meant to be theirs.
