Bible Verses About Prayer

Prayer in Scripture is less a technique than a turning toward God who is already near. It can be brief or wordless, anxious or grateful. These verses show prayer as honest speech to a Father who hears and answers in his own time.

Philippians 4:6-7

But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
