Aunque tengo muchas cosas que escribiros, no he querido comunicarlas por medio de papel y tinta; mas espero ir á vosotros, y hablar boca á boca, para que nuestro gozo sea cumplido.

Qué significa este versículo
The letter's author says he has much more to tell his readers, but he would rather say it in person, because being with them face to face will make their shared joy complete.
Second John is a very short letter, only a few sentences long, written by a church leader who calls himself “the elder” to a congregation he loves. He has been warning them about traveling teachers who denied that Jesus came in the flesh, and he has more to say about it. Here at the close he stops. He does not want to handle such things with paper and ink.
He would rather come and talk. In his world a letter was the ordinary way to reach people far off, and it was a genuine gift. Even so, he treats it as the lesser option. Presence completes what writing only begins, and the joy he wants for them arrives in full when they are together.
